SERGEI AND GAIANE DANILIAN were born in the Soviet Union. They both graduated from the Russian Academy of Theater Arts, and founded Ardani Artists in 1990. Ardani Artists entered the North American market in 1994, and in 1998 they introduced American audiences to one of Russia's foremost contemporary dance companies, Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg.
Ardani Artists has successfully presented US tours of the Bolshoi Ballet and the Mariinsky (Kirov) Ballet. The Danilians also enjoy a longtime association with the Segerstrom Center for the Arts with which they co-produced The Kings of the Dance in 2006 and Diana Vishneva: Beauty in Motion in 2008. Beauty in Motion won three Golden Mask awards (Best Female Performance in Ballet, Best Ballet Production, and Special Jury Prize) at the 2009 Russian National Theater Awards.
In 2011, Ardani Artists, in association with the Bolshoi Theater and Segestrom Center for the Arts, presented Reflections, a unique international collaborative ballet production. In the upcoming 2011-2012 season, Ardani Artists is celebrating the fifth anniversary of Kings of the Dance project with a new program, Opus 3. Also in 2011-2012, Ardani Artists, the Diana Vishneva Foundation and the Mariinsky Theater will co-produce a new project, Diana Vishneva: Dialogues. This season Ardani is presenting Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Eifman Ballet of St. Petersburg, and Nacho Duato's Mikhailovsky Ballet Company on their U.S. tours. The Mikhailovsky Ballet will be seen in the United States for the first time.

19 мая 1909 года в парижском театре "Шатле" Сергей Дягилев представил вечер русских балетов. Так начались "Русские сезоны", принесшие России славу великой театральной державы. 100 лет спустя современным Дягилевым называют продюсера Сергея Даниляна, президента артистического агентства "Ардани", базирующегося в Нью-Йорке. Высокое звание Сергей подтверждает делом. За 19 лет работы его компания организовала около 1000 художественных мероприятий, а на последнем фестивале "Золотая маска" созданный им проект "Диана Вишнева: красота в движении" победил в трех номинациях: "Лучший спектакль", "Лучшая женская роль" и "Приз критики".
